Two BART lines were shutdown and others were delayed in both directions early Thursday morning due to unscheduled track maintenance, the agency said.
Service was suspended on the red line, spanning from Richmond to Millbrae, and the green line from Berryessa to Daly City as of 6 a.m. Thursday. BART alerted potential commuters of the closures at 5:29 a.m.
There is currently no Red line service between Richmond and Millbrae and no Green line service between Berryessa and Daly City station.

In addition to the closures, unscheduled track maintenance caused a 20-minute delay in the transbay tube between the Embarcadero and West Oakland stations. All lines except for orange run through the tube.
The agency did not provided an estimated time for reopening of the red and green lines.
BART is recovering from an earlier problem. There is a 20-minute delay in the Transbay Tube in the San Francisco and East Bay directions due to unscheduled track maintenance.
