Italy’s Saipem wins $1.1 billion contracts in Australia and Guyana

MILAN – Italian power products and services group Saipem said on Tuesday it had gained offshore contracts in Australia and Guyana for a total quantity of $1.1 billion.

One of the contracts relates to the Scarborough gasoline field in the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia, for the export trunkline coating and deploy of the pipeline if you want to connect the fuel field with the onshore plant, Saipem mentioned in a statement.

The contract was presented via Scarborough Joint Venture, of which Woodside Power Scarborough Pty Ltd owns 73.5%, with the rest held through BHP Petroleum (Australia) Pty Ltd.

The 2d contract, signed with a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corp, is for the Yellowtail development venture located within the Stabroek block offshore Guyana at a water intensity of round 1,800 meters.
