A woman was killed at a Los Angeles car dealership when another customer crashed a car in the service area, emergency officials said.
The crash was reported at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Hamer Toyota, in the Mission Hills neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley, said a statement from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The car went out of control as it drove into the service garage and had come to a stop in the reception area, with a customer trapped underneath.
The trapped woman was freed by other customers and employees, and an off-duty nurse began resuscitation efforts. The woman had no pulse and was not breathing, and she was pronounced dead after being taken to a trauma center, the fire department said.
Two employees suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital.
The car’s driver, who reported no injuries, remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers.
